Two Years Later: Brizo Faucets in Focus
This week marks two years since we moved into our cozy abode in the South Loop. Sure, we’re celebrating by indulging in a downtown staycation, but we’re also commemorating the milestone with a reflection on the cornerstone of our remodel; Brizo faucets.
Tradition juxtaposed with modern luxury comes to mind when you think of Brizo. I first encountered Brizo in the showroom at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago a few years ago and decided there and then that I wanted Brizo product in our home.
And so, over two years of incremental remodeling, we managed to incorporate two Brizo collections into three rooms. Although our kitchen sink pays homage to 19th century England farmhouse living, the elongated Scandinavian design of the Litze Pull-Down Faucet by Brizo seems to balance craftsmanship with contemporary seamlessly.
Similarly, in our remodeled bathrooms, the versatility carries over in a set of gold his-and-her faucets. The master bathroom overall feels more modern, featuring the Litze Bath Collection and the Euro Slide Bar Hand Shower by Brizo; the industrial Litze single handle lavatory with Jason Wu’s 1950’s-inspired Euro Slide Bar Handle. Just like in the kitchen, Brizo has a variety of high-style selections to suit our tastes in décor and fashion.
Unintentionally, the guest bathroom is a final test for Brizo’s versatility. This was our latest remodel phase, and this time, we daringly clashed industrial lighting with decorative, hand-painted tile, and a contemporary floating vanity sink. The understated Brizo Round Raincan Showerhead and the Jason Wu for Brizo Single-Hole Electronic Lavatory Faucet balance the act with a touch of modern. Only two years later, and I can confidently attest that no matter which style you choose, Brizo is truly timeless.
