Bake Off!

It didn't take long for John, Carolina, and Nika to start tossing around ideas for a donut bake off when we met for dinner back in March. Fast forward a month later, and Team Tastebuds was stuffing Cheetos into fried pastries as a last gasp attempt to win creativity points before a panel of judges, consisting of myself and two of my Parce Rum members. The famously named Couch Potato donut barely edged The Windy City Bloggers, but the party mood at Give Me Some Sugar in Roscoe was one of mutual victory, considering how much fun we all had. From getting a lesson on making dough, to singing along to hip hop classics, and infusing donuts with rum using a giant syringe, it definitively went up on a Tuesday (as in the yeast).
